However, if you have reasons to use another, feel free. I know, not perfect solution, but OBJ is a complex beast, so it's non-trivial to implement.
Indeed ... That makes both a popup and the beep sound, but I'm not sure if you want the popup or not... I would also support the development by spending some bucks - from the beginn. But it's very very good.

To see this driver you have to open device manager then click on View > Show hidden devices. But you must release it under a confirmed open-source license, e.g., BSD, zlib. It is pretty simple to configure Linux to boot straight into a fullscreen DOSbox session. Don't let it do that. As for non-trivial, do FASMW and FASMD not count?

It's somehow like switching from modern 'pop music' to "rock" of the 70ties. Hasn't been updated since 1995. Dosbox was slower than my old 486 I had to turn on frameskip and try to optimize, but the game have more slowdowns than my android phone runing dosbox (well I I am not a native english speaker, so forgive me any errors in language.
