Wow Nvidia Crash Fix
Everything works fine. Now starting WoW and the same grapic card with the same driver - and instantly the errors begin. So I'm quite sure it's not driver related. That would put the blame on nVidia's driver.
- Maybe I should try to roll back to a much older driver.
- Turning on V-sync should limit your FPS in case super high FPS is the issue (can cause heat and power draw at higher FPS).

- FYI: wow was the 'only' game that this happened with and I've tested quite a few.

Join the Conversation Ignored Have something to say? The TL;DR version is as thus: The issue is caused by WoW's graphics API when using windowed fullscreen and possibly DX11 combo. Even did a system restore (for an unrelated issue) and it resumed having these driver errors (despite always having the latest drivers). Or is it more complicated than that?
For last 4 days the game has run seamlessly. Nvidia Drivers Andret
Figured it out. Upgraded to a 980 gtx and fresh installed windows 10..no issue since. I went to the new official ones and still it happens. My screen would just stay frozen.

Can you tell us what settings you're using for WoW? Hard to raid when you're constantly being tabbed out, and once you're able to resume the game from the multiple minimize/resume WoW is so laggy it requires a restart for me. Done it a few times lately. Source Twilight's Hammer / Agamaggan et al.
But about 5 minutes in, I keep getting this error. Its ONLY with WoW. It is very unpredictable when the error will appear. Tried once again with and without add-ons.

if its not 420 watts or higher it will not handle your graphics card. Sadly your issue is outside of our possibilities of troubleshoot - we did steps that we could offer, but unfortunately if some specifications cause constant problems - we can only suggest Was playing BF3 and it minimised itself and I was unable to get it to restore. Personally i tried everything from upgrading and downgrading drivers to overclock and under-clock the GPU and nothing worked for me.

AnonymousNov 16, 2011, 12:45 AM Well that idea worked, to a point.BF3 has yet to crash, but WoW still does it. Any way I can fix it? This is the only information I've been able to see on the crash pop-up so far is that the driver stopped responding but has recovered. if you use the onboard sound device or a USB headset or sound device you will need to disable the nvidia sound driver to do this reinstall your video drivers select
